Newyddion Ysgol Bro Cynllaith News

Bags2school on Monday 4th December bags to be dropped off before 9am. The school gates will be open over the weekend if you would like to drop your bags. Please leave them to the left of the main entrance door, thankyou. The more bags we collect the more money the school gets!

They accept the following ‘good quality’ items for RE-USE:

  • Men’s, Ladies’ and Children’s clothing

  • Paired shoes (tied together or elastic band around)

  • Handbags

  • Hats

  • Bags

  • Scarves and ties

  • Jewellery

  • Lingerie

  • Socks

  • Belts

  • Soft toys

  • Household linen

  • Curtains

  • Towels

  • Bedding (bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers)

Ffilmic Competition

Congratulations to Charlie Clarke, who won £45 in the Ffilmic take 11 competition, organised by Arts Connection at Llanfyllin recently. His film won in 3 categories – ‘best voice, ‘best line’ and ‘best baddy’. It is available to watch on youtube, just search for ‘Snape Goes Gangster’. He would love to get more views! Well done Charlie – Da iawn ti!

Berwyn School of Music

Congratulations to Rosa Tyldesley who gained 79 points in the musical recital at the Wynnstay Hotel in Oswestry on Sunday 26th November. Da iawn ti.

BBC Children in Need

Thankyou very much once again to everyone who donated money on Friday 17th November. We raised over £28 for Children in Need.

Urdd Netball

This competition was finally able to go ahead this week! Pupils were able to play in the gymnasium at Llanfyllin High School on Thursday 30th November. They all played very well. Thank you to Mrs Evans and Mrs Morris for transporting them.

Swimming gala

Eight pupils attended the Urdd swimming gala at The Flash on Wed 16th November. They all swam very well – some for the first time in an official competition. Well done to you all. Lillie Morris made it through to the County finals, which were held at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, Newtown on Wednesday 29th November. Lillie swam a very fast race, da iawn ti.

Dragon Sports

Mrs Evans will be running her last Dragon Sports club for the term on Wednesday 6th December.

Pantomime trip

Could those who have not paid £10 for the pantomime trip to Theatre Severn on Wednesday 13th November please pay as soon as possible, thankyou. We will not be back in the village until approximately 5.30pm.
