We are very much looking forward to welcoming back our pupils and meeting lots of new faces next week. It will be very strange for many of the children, but rest assured that we will do everything we can to make them feel safe and settled as soon as we can.
We were fortunate, that we had the opportunity to return to school for a short time in the Summer term, where lots of the planning and risk assessments were carried out. These arrangements will continue during the Autumn Term. One difference will be the reintroduction of hot school lunches. These will be delivered from Llanrhaeadr school, as usual and served in the village hall. Pupils are encouraged to bring a healthy snack for morning break, with a reminder that ‘NO NUTS’ or nut based products are to be brought into the school.
I would like to thank Mr Arthur James and the hall committee for all their hard work, ensuring that the village hall is a safe environment for us all.
We follow all the latest guidance from the Welsh Government and we are confident that we have done everything we can to ensure that Ysgol Bro Cynllaith is a safe as it can be, at this time.
As all children are returning from Thursday 3rd September, there will inevitably be more families dropping off children in the morning. We would be very grateful if parents limited the time spent at the school entrance during this time. Please stand at a 2 metre distance, there will be floor mats to guide you.
Due to our pupil numbers, it will not be necessary to split the school into groups or ‘Bubbles’. The whole school, in effect, is a ‘Bubble’.
Pupils will not be required to socially distance, however the 2 metre rule still applies to all adults (teachers, governors and parents) within and around the school.
At the end of the day all pupils will be exiting onto the playground. Please ensure that you space yourselves out in the playground while you are waiting.
Breakfast club will begin again from Thursday 3rd September, at a cost of £2 per morning.
Clwb Cynllaith After School Club will begin the following week – Wed 9th & Thu 10th September.
