Summer term

We return to school on Monday 8th April for a very busy term once again!

Important reminders for all pupils –

OUR GOLDEN RULES OF RESPECT

  1. We are gentle – We don’t hurt others
  2. We are kind and helpful – We don’t hurt anybody’s feelings
  3. We listen – We don’t interrupt
  4. We are honest – We don’t cover up the truth
  5. We work hard – We don’t waste our own or another’s time
  6. We respect and look after property – We don’t waste or damage things

All pupils should be attending school in the correct uniform as well as having a P/E. kit in school (which fits).

We are also a healthy school and encourage healthy lunchboxes and fruit/vegetable snacks for break.

First Experience musical sessions

Beginning next week, we are very fortunate and excited to have Aled Phillips, The Musical Director of John’s Boys Male Chorus to support us with vocal tuition. His choir performed on Britain’s Got Talent.

Each class will be having their own singing/choir lessons.

We will be continuing with our swimming lessons. The children are making great progress and everyone is now in the ‘big pool’.

We have student teachers with us once again this term. They will be placed in both classes.

On Monday, 29th April, Years 5 & 6 will be attending Ysgol Llanfyllin for a Cluster Project Day. Pupils will need to wear school uniform and take their own packed lunches. They will be leaving school at 9am and returning by the end of the school day, travelling in staff cars.

Monday 6th May is a Bank Holiday – no school.

On Wednesday 8th May the whole school will be visiting the British Ironworks Centre. More details to follow.
