Children in Need

Ben and Erin Jones sold 50 Pudsey biscuits for 50p each and raised a

very tasty £25 forChildren in Need. Thank you to you both and also to

Mum for helping them!

Along with 50p each for wearing their own clothes a grand total of

£46.40 was raised.

 

Oswestry School language challenge

Five pupils from Years 5 & 6 attended Oswestry School on Thursday

12th November to take part in a language challenge event. They

participated in a variety of activities using different languages and

tasted a range of foods from other cultures. Thank you to Mrs Judy

Jones for accompanying them.

 

Danceathon

Now all the money has been collected, I am extremely pleased to

announce that Cadie and her fellow pupils raised a wonderful

£271.00 for Children with cancer. Thank you for all your efforts.

 

School website

 

Some of you may have noticed that Newsletters have not been

appearing on the school website lately. This is due to the fact that

there has been a problem with the internal server at Powys.

They are attempting to rectify the problem and we will let you

know when the problem is resolved. Thank you for your patience.

 

Swimming gala

 

Congratulations to Alice Morris and Elin Evans in gaining medals

in the North Wales swimming gala last Sunday 22nd November.

They represented their swimming club – Chirk Dragons.

A very well done to you both.

 

 

Gymnastics

 

Also congratulations to Poppy Ashford and Annabel Quance in

gaining medals in the Oswestry and Border County gymnastics

competition, also held last Sunday 22nd November. Da iawn chi.

 

 

Orienteering

On Wednesday 2nd December, Emily and Oliver Morris will be

taking part in the County Orienteering Championships at Gregynog,

Tregynon. Mrs Bronwen Morris will be transporting them.

Dick Whittington

We are off to see a pantomime on Thursday 10th December at

Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury. We will be having an early lunch

that day. The PTFA have kindly agreed to pay for the cost of the

coach.

 

Christmas dinner

We will be having Christmas dinner on Wednesday 16th December.

 

School concert

This will be held on Thursday 17th December at 2pm in the

village hall. Pupils will be performing a showcase of all the music

they have learnt over the last term with their music teacher, Mary Keith.
