Bore Cymraeg

We held a very successful Bore Agored Cymraeg/Welsh Open morning on Wednesday 17th December. Some current and prospective parents and their children came in to school for a coffee and a mince pie. They had a look around the school and chatted to pupils and staff. Due to the success of this event we will be holding a Science open afternoon on Wednesday 18th March.

Christmas Truce Carol Service

The pupils presented a very special and poignant service to commemorate 100 years since the First World War Christmas day truce football match. Well done to you all for your wonderful speaking and singing.

Chirk Castle

Pupils in the Foundation Phase went on a trip to see Father Christmas in his grotto hideaway in the woods. They had a wonderful time and received an early Christmas present from Santa. Thank you to Miss Lucy Jones-Thomas, Mrs Bronwen Morris, Mrs Judy Jones and Mrs Ann Edwards for transporting them.

Bag2School

If you are having a Spring clean, please keep any unwanted good quality clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, ties and soft toys for our Bag2School collection. This is on Friday 23rd January. Thank you.

Miss Hilliard

Congratulations to Miss Hilliard, who has successfully gained employment at Llansantffraidd Primary School. But don't worry, she will still be teaching here on a Tuesday! This now means that Mrs Evans will be working on Thursdays, not Tuesdays. Miss Thomas's class now do PE on a Tuesday morning.

Designed to smile

We are taking part in a national programme, which is helping children in Wales to have better teeth. Pupils in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 will be brushing their teeth, once a day in school. Everything they need is provided, free of charge. Please see attached leaflet and letter for those involved.

PE Kits & Uniform

Could all those pupils who haven't already done so please remember to bring in their PE Kits. Also we have noticed that some pupils trainers, t-shirts, etc are getting too small for them. They grow so quickly!!

We have also had a new batch of polo shirts and sweatshirts. Please come and remind us if anyone was waiting for any items.
