School Eisteddfod
The whole school took part in a School Eisteddfod on Wednesday 21st March. The pupils performed brilliantly. Their renditions of Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau and Sospan Fach were incredible. Da iawn chi a da iawn i Mr Hardway a Mrs Eyres hefyd!

Cross Country
Unfortunately both Llanfyllin and Llanfair area events had to be cancelled due to the weather. However Year 5 pupils, Annabel and Ffion entered the main event at Welshpool on Friday 23rd March. They ran a great race and came 14th and 10th respectively, out of 50 runners. Ardderchog! Thankyou to Mrs Sarah Evans for transporting them and Mrs Evans for stewarding at the event.

Swimming gala
The WASPS swimming gala was held on Wednesday 14th March at The Flash, Welshpool. We are delighted that Marty Jones from Year 4 and Lillie Morris from Year 6 qualified to go through to the next round, which will be held at the same venue on Friday 20th April. Thankyou to Mrs Evans, Sarah Evans and Hayley Sissons for transporting the pupils.

BBC News Theme Day
Pupils in Year 6 attended Llanfyllin High School on Thursday 15th March. They had an exciting day compiling reports for the Llanfyllin Newspaper, which can be found at
https:Llanfyllin-high-school.j2bloggy.com/School-Report/
Thankyou to Hayley Sissons for transporting them to the school.

Impact Schools
Darren Mayor visited us on Thursday 22nd March. His Easter assembly went down very well with the pupils…not surprisingly as there were chocolate treats as prizes!

PTFA Easter Bingo
The PTFA held an Easter Bingo in the village hall on Thursday 22nd March. The evening was a great success and it was lovely to see so many past pupils and their families. Thankyou for your donations of Easter eggs and raffle prizes and also Sarah and Lesley for getting the hall ready. Thankyou too for the joint effort of putting the tables and chairs away at the end. They managed to raise a fantastic £290!

New Menu
There will be a new lunchtime menu beginning from Tuesday 10th April. The meals are all the same, it’s only the dates that have changed. Please see attached.
HOWEVER on the first day back the lunch will be the lamb grill (Mon and Tue have been swapped). Thankyou to everyone who has signed up for the Cashless Parent Pay system. The implementation has gone very well with only some minor hiccups!
