We have signed up to the Powys School’s battery recycling competition where we could win up to £500 worth of Amazon vouchers.
The aim is to help the county meet recycling targets, cut landfill and carbon emissions, support Eco-schools work and inspire the next generation to recycle more.
The competition is being sponsored by the European Recycling Platform, a leading battery and electronics recycling firm.
A pop-up battery recycling container (pic below)
is located in the reception area at school for you to drop off your redundant batteries. We would like to encourage children, parents and the local community to collect as many batteries as possible. Thankyou.
Powys County Council will provide a free collection service for the batteries during March 2019 in time for the end of the school term.
